MY GPS

Recently I traveled to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I was in unfamiliar country and well as unforgiving terrain if I made the wrong turn. I depended solely on my Global Positioning System (GPS) for guidance. To beat it all, I have no idea of how it works! How can something orbiting the earth several hundred miles tell me exactly the direction in which I am to go?
I ‘Googled’ the initials, GPS, and found it quite interesting. It seems that the Department of Defense used it as a military project but upon declassifying, the made it available to the general public. It is my understanding that satellites circle the earth transmitting signaling data and my little devise on my dashboard receives it, interprets it and offers it to me. The electronic map on my unit tells me where I am in time and position. WOW! How can that be? How can something man created signal to not only my GPS device but simultaneously signal to hundreds of thousands of vehicles traveling the world? Amazing!
Then I think of the big picture. I think of how our Creator has counted the very hairs on our heads and know the sparrow’s needs. Read Luke 12:7. “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” The sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing. Then I really began to think. If an invention of wire, plastic and steel can communicate with human beings simultaneously, how wondrous it is that God is able to hear all prayers at the same time and answer them. Our great big God is able to see, hear, feel, touch, and ANSWER our petitions in the twinkling of an eye. His power is unfathomable. He gave us a promise. He told us that He would be with us even unto the end of the earth (Matthew 28:20). He said He would never forsake us and not leave us as orphans (John 14:18). He meant what He said and said what He meant. He is the One who loves you unconditionally and wants you to use His GPS (God’s Plan of Salvation)! And you don’t even need to buy a device to receive His service! Trusting my REAL GPS, I remain humbled to represent the Old General
