Mike Cox is descended from William B "Buck" Engle through WB's second wife Sally Grigsby. WB and Sally had one son, Lafayette, and Sally died in childbirth. Lafayette "Lafe" Engle married Martha Hollon(d). Their oldest child was Sallie. Sallie married William Miller in Dwarf, KY. They had nine children. Reva, a twin, married John Cox of Michigan. I am the oldest child born to Reva and John. I am a County Commissioner for Kalkaska County Michigan and am currently serving as Chairman. I have served as Commissioner for nine years and Chairman for six years. My hobbies are reading, gardening, travel and flying airplanes. I have flown to Hazard a number of times to visit family. I owned an agricultural supple business, suppling dairy farms, which I sold to my youngest son in 2000. I am married to Janet and we have five children. I am currently working on a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Studies which is a combination of philosophy and religious studies.
