James Hamilton










James Wendell Hamilton was born October 16, 1958 at Hazard, Kentucky, to Russell and Rebecca Carol Hamilton. He married Alice King on February 16,1995. He was an active member of New Hope Christian Center and attended the churchmen's meetings. He was an active member of the Colonel Ben E. Caudill Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and a member of the Kentucky Long Rifleman Corps. He has served as an Emergency Medical Technician and a member of the Viper Fire Department. His wife, Alice Hamilton, two daughters-Karma Wright, and Desiree Nelson, two grandchildren - Isabella and Alexander Wright of Kona, one brother, Jeffrey Allen Hamilton of Grethel and one sister, Karla Sue Hamilton of Viper, two nieces: Natasha and Megan, survive him.
James W. Hamilton suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 43 and passed into eternity on Saturday, August 3, 2002 in Pulaski County. His visitation and funeral were held at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home in Hazard on August 5-6 and was attended by Caudill Camp members Faron Sparkman, John Back (who served as pallbearer), Bud Farler, Danny Taylor, Buford Caudill and Mike Blair. He was buried in the Caudill Cemetery near the head of the Right Fork of Masons Creek (Wells Fork) several miles above his home place.
